Description

I'm Nick Britton, I've been fly fishing Northern and Western Michigan for over 20 years. Whether it’s a small secluded stream or the wide open waters of the Muskegon and Manistee, there is always a new adventure to experience around the next bend. My favorite season is always the next one on the horizon. Whether it’s the hatches of Late April through June, nighttime mousing the beautiful Northern Michigan summer nights, or the thrill of Fall Chrome on the go, there is always something to enjoy along with the scenery year round.

I offer guiding services on the Pere Marquette River and Upper Manistee River where I fish for brown trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. I also am a fishing guide on the Upper Muskegon River where I target smallmouth bass, brown trout, rainbow trout and northern pike. My favorite fishing techniques for steelhead on Pere Marquette River and White River are spin tackle or stripped streamers.

I DO NOT target spawning fish, snag or practice the “Chuck n Duck” method as it is not fishing nor fly fishing. I understand that 95% of fishing guides on Pere Marquette River, Muskegon River and Manistee River offer this type of fishing, but I prefer stick to ethical techniques. I specialize in ethical fly fishing techniques such as dry fly, nymphing, stripping streamers, swinging streamers and nighttime mousing.

My trips are designed to be kid friendly fishing trips with plenty of patience and flexibility in mind. I'm all about family friendly fishing trips, because I love helping make the father/mother and child experience a memorable one.
